The emulator is free
software and works under MS-DOS.
The program file
is downloadable as Appler.zip
(88 KB).
This file also contains
the original 6502 assembler "Big Mac" by the late Prof. Glen Bredon and
the Applesoft "Macroeditor"
by Ulrich Stiehl, originally published in 1983 by Heyden & Son Ltd.
A scanned extract
of the original manual of the "Macroeditor" is downloadable as Macroed.pdf.
In "Windows XP" start Dosbox ("cmd.exe"), then switch to full screen, then start "appler.com /k"

Das damalige "System
C" kostete 6735,00 DM und umfaßte den 1-MHz Apple II+ mit 48 KB RAM
und mit integrierter
Tastatur (Großschreibung!), ein Laufwerk für 140 KB Disketten
(5,25 Zoll), den
Epson-Nadel-Drucker
MX-80 F/T (9 Nadeln) sowie den Schwarz-Weiß-Bildschirm TCS (12-Zoll).
Ferner kaufte ich
ein 2. Disk-Drive für 1240,00 DM, eine 16 KB-Speichererweiterung für
495,00 DM
sowie einen Kleinschreib-Umrüstsatz
für 245,00 DM, um statt "ABC" auch "abc" schreiben zu können.
Das waren also für das obige Apple-System zusammen knapp 9000,00 DM, d.h. rund 4500,00 Euro.
